A tasting tour of Switzerland — through 25 artisanal distilleries

Take a journey through the Swiss spirits landscape with your loved ones from the comfort of your own home. Visit each distillery virtually with this custom map. Our Craft Distillers Box takes you on a journey through the world of innovative Swiss spirits. Taste the high-quality drinks such as gin, rum, whisky, liqueur, absinthe, vodka and vermouth in the comfort of your own four walls.

You can taste and discover the variety of Swiss spirits from the 25 numbered 2 cl bottles. In the BOX you will also find a brochure with exciting information about all products and producers (in German). Actual content and descriptions are also available on the internet in English and other languages.

A very boozy advent calendar

This year, we've teamed up with Yves Branchi of the Swiss Craft Spirits Festival to create a special, limited edition of a very BOOZY Foodie advent calendar. 25 days to discover 25 different artisan Swiss-produced spirits including different gins, whiskies, rum liquors, fruit brandies, absinthe, vodka,  and vermouth. Each day will have a 2 cl bottle with a different spirit inside. You’ll also find a wee story card about the craft distiller and where to buy more. The cards are in ENGLISH :-) a special effort to cater to my English-speaking audience.

You have the option of buying just the contents and making your own calendar with your own special packaging. Or for a small fee, I can assemble it for you and all you have to do is hang it up!
Each assembled calendar package comes with:

  • 25 individual sachets (an extra one this year!)
  • 25 date stickers (black & white)
  • the contents for 25 days of discovery:  2cl of alcohol from a Swiss artisan distiller + the associated story card. If you order the DYI calendar, the only thing you will receive are the contents (wee bottles and story card).
  • 14m of jute string
  • Wire to hang your assembled calendar

You will need to provide :

  • a branch or someway to display the sachets
  • decorations and other do-dads to decorate your calendar in YOUR style
  • assembly of the final calendar

Small print (you should read)

  • You have to be 18 years or older to buy this calendar.
  • We’re taking orders (in Switzerland only) up until Monday 21 Nov 2022.
  • It will cost 95 CHF if you want to purchase just the contents (and assemble it yourself in your own special calendar packaging. OR I can assemble it for you for 115 CHF.
  • Shipping/delivery costs are 10 CHF.
  • All calendars will be shipped by Friday 25 Nov 2022 so you have them for the first day of the calendar.

The Best of Switzerland breadknife features all the important peaks from all Swiss regions: Monte Generoso, Säntis, Piz Bernina, Tödi, Stanserhorn, Titlis, Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Dufourspitze, Matterhorn, Dents du Midi, Mont Blanc

The blade is made of surgical steel material number 1.4116, material designation AISI 440A, Rockwell hardness 54-55 HRC.
The almost velvety handle is made of walnut wood. Please wash by hand!

Also comes in a left-handed version. No more crooked slices of bread! With our very first bread knife for left-handers, a straight cut is finally possible.

Foodies wine & spirits club, virtual experience, Jan 2022

Read about our inaugural Wine & Spirits club experience.

For January 2022, you can sign up to participate in the virtual online experience (and buy the minimum two bottles of wine). Our first online experience will be on 27 January 2022 starting at 20h. We will coordinate the recipes and Zoom links closer to that date. Our wine educator for the evening will be the fabulous Maria from the Geneva Wine Society. We’ll talk you through a bit of the history, a bit of the varietal, and a bit about our producer. We’ll end with a bit of a dance party! Because, hey, why not? Ce putain de COVID. J’en ai mar!

2021 Foodies advent calendar

The 2021 edition of the Foodie advent calendar will be more tangible than the digital advent calendar we created in 2020. Along with foodie collaborators in Zurich, Geneva, Vaud, & Valais, we're going to assemble goodie bags and make advent calendars along the lines of this image. Well. That's the idea, anyways. 

There will be sweet nuts, spicy nuts (sometimes sweet & spicy mixed together!) caramels, jams, chocolates, pralines, Christmas cookies, confectionaries... *I* am even going to add in a 50 CHF gift certificate for the 2022 edition of Foodies Dinner in the Vineyards (more to come on that in the first week of November). It's going to be a veritable goodie bag of foodie delights and experiences.

We are making every effort to create the calendar in the image. Our bags will be bio food bags and not gift bags. AND there is some assembly required at your end (namely, finding a nice branch to tie the goodie bags from). Everything else will be included in the package.
