After I published the first list two weeks ago, a few more foodie ideas have come onto my radar. Here is a bonus list for you! My former recommendations still hold true (linked at the bottom of this post).
Cavo-Pass
The Cavo-Pass is a new initiative that aims to make it easier to visit wine producers in Switzerland (currently, only the French-speaking part) and to purchase wines directly from those wine producers.
By purchasing a pass, you get unlimited tastings for two people (at participating wineries, and three bottles of wine (that you can choose after you’ve tasted). The higher-priced package includes a wine tourism experience.
What is better than a shared memorable moment for you and your foodie?

Le Bouquet Gourmand
I’ve never met the person behind Le Bouquet Gourmand, but I want to. I’ve just ordered a bouquet for my in-laws this year.
This talented artist can transform ordinary gatherings into extraordinary experiences with her stunning edible bouquets. With a talent for blending aesthetics and gastronomy, she meticulously crafts vibrant arrangements using a palette of fresh fruits, flowers, chocolates, nuts, and herbs.
Each edible bouquet is a masterpiece, a symphony of colours and flavours that captivate both the eyes and the palate. Give a touch of elegance to your holiday season….and eat it afterwards!

Black garlic: a unique culinary delight
I met Axel at an evening tasting a few years ago at a combined tasting of Elia’s Olive Oil and Axel’s black garlic. I had never experienced black garlic before. I was very surprised at how sweet it was. Like a jam…but it was just well, black garlic.
Black garlic is originally from Japan but has become a global sensation for food lovers. What makes black garlic so special is its amazing taste and texture. Unlike strong-smelling white garlic, black garlic has a mild and soft texture, with hints of prune, balsamic vinegar, licorice, and caramel. It’s an excellent choice for those who want garlic’s health benefits without the strong taste.
Black garlic isn’t just about cooking; it’s a special process that enhances the garlic’s taste and texture.
Selecting the right garlic and perfecting the transformation results in an outstanding product. That’s exactly what Axel does. Her l’ail noir showcases Swiss craftsmanship and culinary excellence.

Anna’s Eats: fire-cooking experience
I first met Anna when she started livin’ her dream…of hosting fire-cooked meals. She has done a great job of developing her idea. Her experience is transformative. A day of cooking on fire and a journey into the heart of nature and culinary connection. From 10:30 am to 5 pm, immerse yourself in the “slow” rhythm of life and gather around the fire, savour intuitive herbal teas, and collaboratively cook using local, seasonal ingredients.
In the serenity of a small group, forge new connections, strengthen bonds, and relish the simplicity of shared moments. Ideal for those seeking self-discovery, quality time with loved ones, or a pause from the hustle. Whether a novice or a seasoned enthusiast, join Anna to revive the ancient art of outdoor cooking—a timeless and enriching encounter with fire.
Check out her experience dates and book one! They look like such great days! Shared moments around a fire. This is such a great opportunity to create a memory! What better gift?

Edible Switzerland’s experience gift certificate
I would be remiss if I didn’t add our own experiences here on Edible Switzerland. We’ve crafted day itineraries in Lavaux, Chamoson, Val d’Herens (Evolène), Lucerne, and Geneva. Not to mention hands-on workshops like an olive oil tasting. Check back on the website often as I’ll be rolling them out over the new year. In fact, I’ve just introduced a gift certificate. It’s not just a gift, it’s an invitation to adventure!
Edible Switzerland
Unforgettable Swiss wine tours and gourmet experiences with a local. Swiss wine and food tours for the epicurious.
Finding the perfect gift for the foodie in your life is an art. I hope I’ve given you a few ideas. Remember that the joy of gifting lies in the thoughtfulness behind it. May your gifts be as unforgettable as the meals you share. Happy gifting, and may every bite be a celebration!
Big fat foodie hugs,
Jennifer
