A shared table in the vineyards. The rest will follow.
Dinner in the Vineyards, Lavaux
30 May · Epesses · 17h–22h
FOR FOODIES IN SWITZERLAND
Invitation
Some of you will come alone, but you will definitely leave with new friends.
We’re setting a table in the vines above Lac Léman. Good food and a mix of people who probably wouldn’t meet in person otherwise.
No seating plan. No pressure.
Just an evening that will take on a life of its own.

About your hosts
Two “Foodies in Switzerland” meet on Instagram. And decide to take it offline.
Jen Burke: The person behind EdibleSwitzerland and the Foodies in Switzerland community.
I organise these dinners the way I like to be invited. Interesting people around a table — and we see what happens.
Brooke Hadas of SupperWoman Meals (on IG) is behind the evening’s menu.
Her cooking draws from the Middle East and North Africa — bold flavours, generous dishes, and food meant to be shared.

Doing things differently
At EdibleSwitzerland, we try to keep things simple.
Less waste. More local. And events that actually make sense.

We work with local producers. Honey, meat, vegetables, artisan products — and the wines that go with them.
We avoid disposable as much as possible. Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.
No plastic. Vintage plates, cloth napkins, real glasses.
If you can, come by train. It’s easier.
We work with local businesses and guides.
E-bikes, tuk-tuks, tastings, hikes.
And whenever we can, we use green energy.

Otherwise, they can simply check in under your name.
You can also try to resell your place in the Foodies in Switzerland Facebook group. We’ll direct last-minute requests there. Please note: payment between participants is your responsibility.
Additionally, please read our terms of purchase policy.

We will be serving alcohol, so the event is targeted for 16 years old or older.
How are you making this a green event? Does it even make a difference?
When we started these events, we asked ourselves what was actually necessary — and what wasn’t.
So we kept things simple: less waste, more reuse, more local.
If you’d like the details, you can read our sustainability statement.
EVENT
What should I wear?
The dinner takes place in a vintner’s garden — uneven ground, a few cobblestones. Comfortable shoes are a good idea. Evenings can cool down, so bring a jacket.
Dress it up a little if you feel like it. Or don’t. Jeans work just fine.
If the weather turns, we’ll move inside. You’ll hear from us a few days before.
How do I get to the event?
At Marina’s place, in a small wine village in Lavaux
La Place 14, 1098 Epesses
By car
Parking is available on either side of the village, then it’s a short walk down to the garden.
Parking option #1 (east of village)
Parking option #2 (centre village)
By train (the nicest option)
Get off at Grandvaux and walk down to the village (about 45 minutes, beautiful route). Easy return from Epesses (5 minutes on foot from the garden, downhill).
Simple option
Train to Epesses, then a 15-minute walk — it’s uphill.
Do you allow dogs at your event?
As much as we love them, dogs aren’t allowed at this event.
Will the event be postponed?
The event will go ahead. We’ve planned an indoor option if the weather doesn’t cooperate.
When will I receive directions and other important information about the event?
You’ll receive an email about two weeks before the event with directions, final details, and a few practical notes so you know exactly what to expect.
What can I bring, other than my fabulous self?
Bring something to share — something you love and want others to discover. We’ll place everything on a table, and everyone leaves with something new.
OTHER QUESTIONS
Can I buy a gift certificate?
You can definitely offer somebody else a place at the table. Just purchase a ticket and reply to the order confirmation with the name of the guest.
Do you host other private events?
Yes. We create small, tailored events — in vineyards, on farms, usually around food, wine, and a good table.
If you’re planning something for a group or a team, or thinking about something similar, get in touch.
