Dinner in the Vineyards, Lavaux
30 May · Epesses · 17:00–22:00
FOR FOODIES IN SWITZERLAND
Invitation
Some of you will come alone, but you will definitely leave with new friends.
We’re setting a table in the vines above Lac Léman. Good food and a mix of people who probably wouldn’t meet in person otherwise.
No seating plan. No pressure.
Just an evening that will take on a life of its own.

Jen Burke: Founder and operator of EdibleSwitzerland.com the Foodies in Switzerland community. I organise these dinners because I like putting interesting people around a table and seeing what happens.ences.
Brooke Hadas of SupperWoman Meals (on IG) is the chef behind the evening’s menu. Her cooking draws from time spent in the Middle East and North Africa — bold flavours, generous plates, and food that’s meant to be shared.

A focus on sustainable experiences
At EdibleSwitzerland, we are committed to practising sustainable tourism, running zero waste experiences, events, & tours, and giving back to our community.
We aim to be committed Swisstainable in 2026.

We are committed to serving the local economy. Quite literally, we serve local ingredients (be it honey, meat, vegetables, and other artisan products) paired with local wines and other beverages and artisan products.
We minimise waste through avoidance, reduction, recycling and separate disposal.
At our dining events, we use vintage plates, cloth napkins, real cups, glasses, and cutlery.
We encourage public transportation to and from events and experiences.
We work with local businesses & guides to provide alternative transportation eBikes, electric tuk-tuks, and other interesting tours and options to move people around. Be it offering guided tours, or tastings, or just an interpretive hike.
Additionally, we work with a partner agency to provide green energy for lights and sound (especially for outdoor events).
Supporting community: A portion of our proceeds goes towards creating a fund to help small food businesses launch and grow their business (be them actual food products, experiences, cooking classes, tours, or others) or specific charities.

Otherwise, they are welcome to use your name when checking in. You can also try to sell your seats on our Facebook group. We can redirect last minute guests to look there. Please keep in mind that transferring funds is your responsibility.
Additionally, please read our terms of purchase policy.
What is the price of a ticket? And what is included in the price?
A seat at the table is 115 CHF and includes a reception apéro, a convivial vine-to-table dinner, a half-dozen wines to taste, a buffet of desserts and more!
Is there a waitlist?
Tickets are non-refundable. However, in the current climate, it could become possible that somebody might need to cancel. Please, contact me within one week of the event to see if any spots have opened up. You can also check our Foodies in Switzerland Facebook group for tickets. We’ll redirect guests to look there to buy or sell last-minute seats.

What is the age requirement?
We will be serving alcohol, so the event is targeted for 16 years old or older.
How are you making this a green event? Does it even make a difference?
When we started a few years and thought, do we really need disposable coffee cups and individual creamers? What can we do to reduce waste? All it really took was a commitment to one or two things differently. This year, we’ve tried to describe what we do in our sustainability statement.
EVENT
What should I wear?
The dinner will take place quite literally, in the a vintner’s garden. The terrain is uneven and cobbled. Please dress accordingly for the dates and remember to wear comfortable shoes. It could get chilly in the evening (even after a warm day) so please come prepared with a jacket or blankets to keep you comfortable. We anticipate a beautiful sunset and possibly a moonrise. We are encouraging guests to dress up a little, but jeans and casual attire are not out of place.
Finally, we have no control over the weather. We’ll decide in the few days before the event if we eat inside or out.
How do I get to the event?
Marina’s place is in a wee winemaker village in Lavaux. There is parking on either side of the village, and you will have to walk down to her garden.
Additionally, you can take the train to Grandvaux and hike down to the village. It is a spectacular hike. And takes about 45 min. Afterwards, you can take the train back from Epesses (5 min walk from her garden–downhill). Or, simply take a train to and from Epesses. The hike up will likely take 15 min as it is straight up.

Do you allow dogs at your event?
Due to health department regulations, dogs are not allowed at the event.
Will the event be postponed?
We do not anticipate the event being cancelled or postponed. And this time, right from the start, we have secured a place inside to eat if it is too cold or wet outside. This event WILL not be cancelled or postponed.
When will I receive directions and other important information about the event?
You will receive an email about two weeks prior to the event with directions to the event location, finalized event details, and helpful hints on what to wear and what to bring.
What can I bring, other than my fabulous self?
We have collaborated with some foodiepreneurs for some spectacular “door prizes” at our event to raise money
