Edible Switzerland Community Events 2026
Food, wine, landscape & shared tables
This year, I’m trying to get the Foodies in Switzerland group off Facebook and meeting up in real life. Here’s what I’m are a few things I can host to promote a more face-to-face community (sign-up form below):
🥾🍷 Guided Hiking Wine Tour of Lavaux — Spring Edition
Saturday, 11 April 2026
Inspired by a spontaneous end-of-year hike I hosted last November with a fellow foodie. A relaxed, guided walk through the Lavaux vineyards with curated wine tastings along the way. This is a pay-as-you-go experience (expect approx. CHF 25 per tasting), with time built in for a picnic lunch. Flexible, social, and very much spring-in-the-vines energy. We taste the most unique wines I find in Lavaux. Dilionoir? Galotta? Charmont? anyone? There is more than Chasselas in Lavaux (but a must to taste while we are there).
🔥🍷 Wine & Fire Evening in Lavaux
Saturday, 13 June 2026 (Date to be confirmed, but targeting this date). I have to secure a few details.
It’s actually happening this year. An intimate early-summer evening in the Lavaux landscape, centred around fire cooking on an OFYR: seasonal food, local wines, and a deliberately small group to keep the atmosphere warm and unhurried.
Approx. CHF 125 per person | Max. 25 guests
🎨🔥🍷 Wine, Fire & Art — Bossonnens
Saturday, 5 September 2026
A late-summer evening chez moi in Bossonnens, combining fire-cooked food, beverages, and contemporary art in the vestiges of the Chateau of Bossennens. Dinner is followed by a visit to Bossonn’Art or maybe we’ll do the visit, then have our dinner. This one is more of a shared table — collaborative & communal. We’ll plan it together.
🍂🥾🍷 Wine & Hike Lavaux — Fall Edition
Saturday, 21 November 2026
The autumn counterpart to the spring hike and a favourite from the spontaneous version with a fellow foodie last year. Expect vineyard paths in fall colours, thoughtful wine stops, and that end-of-season Lavaux mood. Save the date — details announced early this year.
Adding some images of our first “Dinner in the Vineyards” as inspiration. That was so fun!
