2022 A very boozy Foodie advent calendar
This year, our advent calendar is a BOOZY advent calendar made with love and dedication from 25 different artisan Swiss distillers.
Well….it’s starting to be that time of year again. It’s sweater weather. Time to start layering up! It’s pumpkin latte time. Or maybe you like your pumpkins in a pumpkin and sage risotto? However you start to prepare for this coming holiday season, it’s time to start thinking about our 2022 Foodies Advent calendar.
Remember our first foodies advent calendar?
In 2020 as a group, we made a digital advent calendar, made with love and excitement from foodies in our foodies group. We had recipes for mulled wine, and glübier, traditional Swedish meatballs, and even one for a boozy Christmas cake that you can make in an afternoon. We had coupons for cooking classes and virtual cook-alongs. And discounts to other Foodie members’ online shops: everything from spicy jam to spiced rhum. It was so fun to put together.
In 2021, we created a more tangible (but still homemade) foodie advent calendar. Last year there were teas, chocolates, sweet nuts, spicy nuts, various Christmas cookies, other confectionaries and gourmet salts. It was a veritable discovery of a variety of foodie treats from local producers and a few fellow foodiepreneurs. Fellow foodie and local singer Janice Van Gele discovered black garlics and loved it so much, she started making her own.

This year, I’ve teamed up with Yves Branchi of the Swiss Craft Spirits Festival to create a special edition of a BOOZY Foodie advent calendar.
This calendar will have 25 days to discover 25 different Artisan Swiss-produced spirits including different gins, whiskies, rum liquors, fruit brandies, absinthe, vodka, & vermouth
Each day will have a 2 cl bottle with a taste of a different spirit inside. You’ll also find a wee information card about the craft distiller and where to buy more. 25 days of discovery! All 25 are Swiss artisan producers.
The details you should know:
We’re taking orders (in Switzerland only) up until Monday 21 Nov 2022.
It will cost 95 CHF if you want to purchase just the contents (and assemble it yourself in your own special calendar packaging. OR I can assemble it for you for 115 CHF.
Shipping/delivery costs are 10 CHF.
All calendars will be shipped by Friday 25 Nov 2022 so you have them for the first day of the calendar.
Some assembly required on your side. You will have to find a branch & any extra decorations and do-dads to decorate and tie the gifts to the branch. Everything else will come in the package.
Each assembled calendar package comes with:
- 25 individual sachets (an extra one this year!)
- 25 date stickers (black & white)
- the contents for 25 days of discovery: 2cl of alcohol from a Swiss artisan distiller + the associated story card IN ENGLISH. A very special effort to cater to our expats.
- 14m of jute string
